June 2021 Tidbit

We are vaxed up and ready to travel! “Where are we going?” you ask. Here is a little about our first post-pandemic travel adventure.

Helen says:

Funny There Once Was A Man From Nantucket Jokes
We just got back from the most fun family vacation we have ever taken! We had an inaugural trip to Nantucket for my kids and me (my husband had been before). We ate at fabulous restaurants, rode bikes everywhere and explored the island and became whaling enthusiasts! Upon return, I immediately watched the movie In the Heart of the Sea. I am sure the book was better – all about the whaling ship Essex and it’s sinking off the coast of Ecuador. It was the basis for Herman Melville’s Moby Dick. A great history lesson!

Holly says:

My husband and I are heading to Santa Fe and Taos next week with my sister and her husband, and we cannot wait! We have a big list of activities and adventures planned, including a day at 10,000 Waves, hikes, the Folk Art Festival, Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, fly fishing on the Rio Grande, nights around the kiva, and lots of great dining plans – including my favorite named restaurant, The Love Apple. New Mexico – here we come!
