Helen and Holly have differing opinions when it comes to Thanksgiving preferences…Here’s what we think! Comment and tell us what you think, too!

Ham or Turkey?
Helen says: Honestly, I much prefer ham to turkey, but I am very much a purist. I feel that It is imperative to eat turkey on Thanksgiving, though it’s not my favorite.
Holly says: Ham all the way! We have both, but I have a tiny bit of turkey, because well, I am also a purist. Ham for me, and a turkey for you, I love to eat my turkey from a big brown shoe…not…

Sweet Potatoes or Mashed Potatoes?:
Helen says: I like both. Again, the purist in me says sweet potatoes. I am going to make both.
Holly says: I like both also, but probably prefer the sweet potatoes – pecan streusel preferred over marshmallow, but both is even better!

Oysters in your stuffing? (This may be a Wilmington thing)
Helen says: I loathe oysters…so no. I do love the camaraderie and fun that surrounds an oyster roast though. Stove Top for me, please!
Holly says: I LOVE oysters, but NOT in my stuffing. We always have oysters at Thanksgiving and Christmas, but they are the Hot Panned Oyster recipe from the Ministering Circle cookbook – the BEST!

Cranberries- yay or nay?
Helen says: Hells yeah…bring it on…Love it.
Holly says: Sure, but I prefer them in a congealed salad with oranges.
Pumpkin or Pecan Pie?
Helen says: Pumpkin for me!
Holly says: Pecan for me! But pumpkin is good too.
