Goodreads description:
We don’t want to tell you what happens in this book. It is a truly special story and we don’t want to spoil it.
Nevertheless, you need to know enough to buy it so we will just say this:
This is the story of two women.
Their lives collide one fateful day, and one of them has to make a terrible choice.
Two years later, they meet again – the story starts there…
Once you have read it, you’ll want to tell your friends about it. When you do, please don’t tell them what happens either. The magic is in how it unfolds.

An oldie, but goodie…I remember reading this about 20 years, but didn’t really remember the storyline except that it had a shocking ending. I picked it back up and couldn’t put it down until I finished it. This had a very serious and heavy subject matter…definitely not a light read. I am surprised it hasn’t been made into a movie. Maybe it is too politically polarizing in topic. Give it a read or perhaps a re-read!

This book is heavy, as in HE-AVY, but it is a riveting page-turner. This story is sad, and at times very difficult to read, but you will be glad you did. “Glad” may not be the right word, but the book will stay with you. We went into the archives for this one, it was written in 2008, and it was a good and very moving pick. This book is somewhat reminiscent to me of an even older book, The Piano, that became a movie with Holly Hunter, Sam Neill and Harvey Keitel. I’m not surprised that Little Bee has not been made into a movie – it may be too difficult to watch.
